What to expect when you run Junior for the first time
When you first launch Junior, always check the "2FA" checkbox — even if you don't think you have two-factor authentication enabled on LinkedIn. This ensures Junior opens a Chrome window where you can log in to LinkedIn directly. It only takes 30 seconds and you only need to do it once.
Open Junior from your desktop, Start menu (Windows), or Applications folder (macOS).
In the Junior app window, find and check the "2FA" checkbox. We recommend always checking this box, even if you're not sure whether you have two-factor authentication enabled on LinkedIn.
Click the "Start Automation" button. Junior will automatically open a Chrome browser window.
A Chrome window will open showing the LinkedIn login page. Log in as you normally would — enter your email and password, and complete two-factor authentication if prompted.
Once you've logged in successfully, Junior will automatically close the Chrome window. Do not close it yourself — let Junior handle it. This confirms your login was successful.
Junior saves your session cookies and will not ask you to log in again on future runs. From now on, just launch Junior and click "Start Automation" — it will use your saved session automatically.
Junior needs a real browser session to authenticate securely with LinkedIn. Your credentials go directly to LinkedIn's login page, not to Junior. This is the safest way to connect your account.
No. Junior only stores session cookies, which LinkedIn uses to keep you logged in. Your password is never saved by Junior.
No — only once. After the first login, Junior remembers your session and you can start automating immediately on future runs.
