macOS Install Help

Open Junior on macOS in 3 steps.

Apple may show an "unidentified developer" warning on first open. That is expected for independent software and only needs to be handled once.

Security notice

When you open Junior for the first time, macOS may block it with an "unidentified developer" prompt. This is a standard Gatekeeper behavior for unsigned apps and does not mean the app is unsafe.

Installation steps

Step 1: Move Junior to Applications

  1. Download the macOS build from your confirmation page.
  2. Open the downloaded .dmg or .zip file.
  3. Drag Junior.app into your Applications folder.

Step 2: Expect the first-open warning

You may see: "Junior.app cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer."

This first warning is expected. Continue with step 3.

Step 3: Open Junior once manually

Method A (fastest)

  1. Right-click Junior.app.
  2. Click Open.
  3. Click Open again in the dialog.

Method B (System Settings)

  1. Try to open Junior by double-clicking it.
  2. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Find the blocked app notice and click Open Anyway.

FAQ

Is Junior safe to open?

Yes. The macOS warning reflects certificate/signing policy, not malware detection.

What if it still does not open?
