Junior 3.0

Junior 3.0 is here

The Automation screen is now an operator console, a dedicated Activity screen shows what Junior actually did, and Enterprise can comment as your LinkedIn company page. Junior still runs on your own machine, your own browser, and your own IP.

Windows, macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon), and Linux (AppImage and .deb).

Operator Console

The Automation screen is now the daily workspace instead of a settings page you visit once.

  • Targeting, filters, and caps stay visible while a run is in progress. Nothing load-bearing is hidden behind a "simple mode".
  • A run bar summarises the active identity and run state.
  • An agent header reports one of four honest states: idle, needs you, working, problem. "Needs you" is a real pause, such as a login or MFA prompt, not a guess.
  • The raw log is still there as a drawer. It was never removed.

Activity

A dedicated third screen for what Junior actually did, replacing the cramped Recent Activity box on the Dashboard.

  • Filter by posted, skipped, or all. It defaults to posted.
  • Skipped entries carry the reason, so an empty run is explainable instead of mysterious.
  • Posted comments open on LinkedIn in one click.

Run Insights

A "Review latest run" card on the Dashboard. You press it, Junior reviews the most recent session's own telemetry, and it reports what your configuration actually produced.

  • Manual only. It does not run in the background or phone home between runs.
  • Rate limited to 3 reviews per day.

Comment as your company page (Enterprise)

Junior can post as your LinkedIn company page instead of your personal profile.

  • Entitlement is fail-closed: if the check fails or the answer is unknown, company commenting stays locked rather than silently falling back to your personal profile.
  • Identity is frozen mid-run, so a plan change can never switch who is posting halfway through.
  • Saved company details stay visible and read-only when the feature is locked.

Find posts from company pages

Point Junior at specific LinkedIn company pages and it harvests their official feeds alongside your keyword searches.

  • URL-only field. There is no limit on how many pages you add; a longer list just takes longer to cycle.
  • Distinct from "Author companies", which filters by where a post's author works.
  • Per-author cooldown is skipped on official company feeds, so an active page is not throttled to one comment.

Better post selection and counting

  • Posts older than 10 days are no longer eligible, so Junior stops commenting on stale threads.
  • Comment action bars are no longer mistaken for posts during harvesting.
  • Today's comment count survives an app restart, and a separate session counter shows the current run.
  • Counts read from the real Documents path rather than a OneDrive-redirected copy.

Reliability

  • A crashed company-feed pass no longer loses comments that were already posted, and leftover pages are picked up on restart rather than silently skipped.
  • Expired API tokens refresh mid-run instead of ending the session.
  • The LinkedIn session is restored from the Junior Chrome profile, reducing repeat manual logins.
  • Fixes for an installer crash, a stalled-run restart loop, and an unsolvable manual-login captcha.
